New Chandigarh, June 8. The Indian cricket team produced a dominant display to record a thumping win over Afghanistan in their lone Test, played from June 6 to 8.
A one-sided contest
India declared their first innings on 564 for 8. In reply, Afghanistan were bowled out for 152 in the first innings and, after following on, managed just 112 in the second.
Win by an innings and 300 runs
India thus took the match by a huge margin of an innings and 300 runs, with both the bowlers and batters contributing handsomely.
