Parliament's Monsoon Session from July 21 to August 12; opposition bloc agrees on a five-point plan

New Delhi, June 8. The dates for Parliament's Monsoon Session are set. According to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, the session will run from July 21 to August 12.

The opposition prepares

Ahead of the session, the opposition INDIA bloc agreed on a five-point action plan after a high-level meeting attended by leaders from 25 political parties.

Issues on the agenda

The bloc will focus on electoral transparency, education reforms, economic concerns, and parliamentary coordination. The opposition called on the Centre to convene an all-party meeting to discuss the economic situation.

A coordinated strategy

Bloc leaders agreed to hold daily coordination meetings during the session and adopt a unified strategy in both Houses. The upcoming session is likely to see sharp debate between the government and opposition on several issues.
